KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 (Bernama) -- An admission of a sordid nature was made in the social media, by way of a video clip by Mr Haziq Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, who was incidentally, the Senior Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Primary Industries on 12 June 2019.

The Ministry viewed this as a very serious violation of its values, ethics and the Code of Conduct, Public Officers Regulations. Pursuant to the same, the Ministry promptly issued Mr Haziq Abdullah with a show cause letter to which he has responded to and the Ministry was not satisfied.

In the circumstance, the Ministry proceeded to terminate his contract of service effective 18 June 2019.

The Ministry wishes to categorically assert that it will never tolerate any such scandalous behaviour amongst any of its staff members which brings the Ministry into disrepute and odium. With this, the Ministry completely disassociates itself with Mr Haziq Abdullah.
