Pearson LCCI Diploma graduates are guaranteed admission into UNIRAZAK’s Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) accredited by CPA Australia
 
KUALA LUMPUR, June 23 (Bernama) -- Pearson Malaysia (Pearson) and Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to enable LCCI Accounting and Finance diploma graduates to gain guaranteed admission into a 4-year Accounting degree programme with accreditation by CPA Australia, offered by UNIRAZAK.
 
The MoA was inked at UNIRAZAK’s main campus along Jalan Tun Razak here in Kuala Lumpur on 18 June 2019. It was signed by Mr Alan Malcolm, Head of Pearson Asia and Mr Amil Izham Hamzah, Chief Executive Officer of UNIRAZAK and jointly witnessed by Ms Ng Boon Teen, Country Director – Myanmar and Malaysia Qualifications and Mr Mohamed Fairuz Mohamed Noor, Chief Operating Officer of UNIRAZAK, in the presence of other guests.
 
Pearson LCCI offers international qualifications in the areas of financial and quantitative, marketing, business, administration and IT. It is a flexible programme with examinations available at various levels for learners to enter at the level that is most suitable to them. The qualifications were originally developed by London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in 1881 to address the need for reliable, high quality standards across international workforce.
 
The signing seals the beginning of a partnership between Pearson and UNIRAZAK for its first education collaboration, which guarantees admission for LCCI diploma graduates into UNIRAZAK’s 4-year Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) accredited by CPA Australia degree programme.
 
The MoA outlines the four different pathways which are available to LCCI graduates:

1. Pearson LCCI Level 4 Diploma in Accounting & Finance graduates can progress into the 2nd year of UNIRAZAK’s 4-year degree programme with varying entry requirements

2. Pearson LCCI Level 3 Group Diploma in Accounting graduates will continue in UNIRAZAK’s Diploma in Accounting and may progress into the 2nd year of UNIRAZAK’s 4-year degree programme

3. Pearson LCCI Level 3 Group Diploma in Accounting graduates (applicable to Malaysians only) may progress into the 1st year of UNIRAZAK’s 4-year degree programme with those above 21 years old, with work experience or currently in the workforce, be required to pass Malaysian Qualifications Agency’s Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) test to gain entry

 

4. International students who possess LCCI Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma qualifications may also apply into the degree programme, on the condition that they meet UNIRAZAK’s English entry requirements which also include Pearson’s Test of English (PTE) Academic certification.
