  SDG CONFERENCE 2019 WAS HELD IN MALAYSIA

CYBERJAYA, Malaysia, July 4 (Bernama-PRNewswire) -- The Global Compact Network Malaysia (GCMY), a local chapter of UN Global Compact, Limkokwing University of Creative Technology and Junior Chamber International (JCI) Entrepreneur Metropolitan Kuala Lumpur has successfully co-organised the SDG Conference 2019 with the theme -- "People, Planet & Profit for the Next Generation". The event took place at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, Cyberjaya, Malaysia on 4th July 2019 from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
 
Comprising of an impactful keynote address and moderated high level panel discussion on key issues in achieving the SDGs, the forum has provided participants with insights on the SDGs and the challenges presented in achieving it. The programme attracted approximately 500 participants from across different sectors especially the next generation of leaders. The 1-day forum brought lots of exciting discussions and debate on various issues surrounding Malaysian's role in the SDGs and provided practical insights on the concrete actions that Malaysian Businesses can take in shaping the country's direction on achieving the Global Goals - Agenda 2030.

The event is hosted by Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. It is a private international university that has a presence across Africa, Europe, and Asia. With its main campus in Malaysia, the university has over 30,000 students from more than 150 countries, studying in campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka, Kuching, Botswana, Cambodia, Lesotho, Sierra Leone, Eswatini, Uganda, and the United Kingdom.
