KUALA LUMPUR, July 5 (Bernama) -- As part of the journey in achieving the Smart State vision for 2025, the Selangor State Government through Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI Selangor) is creating a roadmap of regional cooperation and dissemination of information.
Selangor: Regional Powerhouse - held on the 23rd of July 2019 in KL Hilton - will showcase the opportunities, potentials and promises for businesses in Selangor, and how Selangor has the ideal ecosystem and infrastructure to be the nucleus of the AEC vision.
Selangor: Regional Powerhouse will comprise a number of sessions:
The welcome address to 500 regional C-suite corporate and government dignitaries, given by the Menteri Besar of Selangor.
A high level plenary session, comprising policy makers and industry leaders to discuss investment opportunities in Selangor and how state government and industries can work together for mutual benefit.
Three further breakaway sessions by policy makers and industry leaders on how Selangor can become the hub for:
1. Smart Cities For Sustainable Living
Government and Business Leaders will give insights on their perspective of what makes a smart city; what has been done before, what needs to be done and how to accelerate Selangor towards its mission.
2. Aviation and Aerospace
Senior government officials and experts in aviation will share their perspective on how the Federal and Selangor State Government are setting the infrastructure and ecosystem for aerospace companies to thrive in Selangor, and in realising the state’s vision of becoming a hub for aerospace engineering and business/private aviation in Southeast Asia, as per the Selangor Aerospace Action Plan.
3. Future Technology
Policy makers as well as captains of foreign and Malaysian companies will discuss intrinsic details on how the public and private sectors can encourage the growth of future technology through the seamless integration of collective experiences, to make Selangor the central Future Technology station for ASEAN in the near future.
