ABS-CBN FILMS BOX OFFICE HIT FILIPINO FILM PREMIERES IN MALAYSIA

Thursday 29/08/2019

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Aug 29 (Bernama-PRNewswire) -- Hello, Love, Goodbye is a sweeping, explorative film produced by ABS-CBN Films about the consequence of choice, a close introspection of the perplexities and subtleties behind decisions that will ultimately shape the future of individuals enmeshed in each other's realities. It is a compelling and insightful story that focuses on the shared experience between Malaysians and Filipinos, one that tenderly touches on the sacrifices and lengths that each go through for the sake of their families. It begs the question: in the greater scheme of things, should the pursuit of love take precedence over personal dreams and aspirations for one's family?

The film follows the intertwining narratives of young Filipino lovers, each making their living in the grunge, grit, and grind of cosmopolitan Hong Kong: Joy, a spirited domestic helper who considers Hong Kong as a layover to another place where she can finally make it big and Ethan, a charismatic, playboy bartender who is building a permanent life in Hong Kong. A chance encounter between the two blossoms into an unlikely relationship where the two find solace in each other's company, as they navigate through the complications of life as overseas workers.

Produced by ABS-CBN Films and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, Hello, Love, Goodbye is currently one of the highest grossing Filipino films this year, enjoying local and international box office success. It stars two of the most recognizable Filipino celebrities today, each with their own impressive credentials of blockbuster film hits and high rating television shows.

Kathryn Bernardo, who plays Joy, is undoubtedly one of Philippine cinema's most beautifully talented actresses. Since her acting debut in 2003, she has starred in numerous well acclaimed movies and television series, garnering admiration for her uncanny ability to capture the essence of her characters with the depth and sensitivity that belies her young age.

Portraying Ethan is Alden Richards, a recognized multitalented artist who enjoys phenomenal success in Philippine film, television and social media. He also enjoys platinum status as a recording artist with three albums under his belt.

"Hello, Love, Goodbye" is now showing in the following theaters in Malaysia: TGV KLCC, TGC Jaya, TGV 1st Avenue, MMC eCurve, MMC JB City Square, Growball, LFS Sandakan
