Homegrown e-wallet Boost brings Malaysians together this Malaysia Day for a kinder, cleaner, healthier, fairer and progressive nation
 
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 (Bernama) -- To celebrate Malaysia Day, homegrown and leading e-wallet Boost encourages all Malaysians to do their part to ‘Boost My Malaysia’. The campaign focuses on instilling five core values – kindness, cleanliness, healthier, fairer and more progressive Malaysia as key building blocks for a better nation.
  
Mohd Khairil Abdullah, CEO of Axiata Digital Services, parent company of Boost said, “‘Boost My Malaysia’ represents the aspirations we have for this country. As a proud homegrown brand, we understand the inherent need to lead the way by setting a good example and inspiring all Malaysians to support causes that can positively impact both environment and the social fabric of our nation.”
 
Over the next four weeks, through Boost, all Malaysians have the opportunity to band together to access and support various causes by through leveraging and the e-wallet technology right in the palm of our hands.
 
To lead by example to ‘Boost My Malaysia’ and set the tone for building a Kinder Malaysia, Boost joined hands with Pertiwi Soup Kitchen on 13 September distributing food aid to the less fortunate from the inner-city communities of Kuala Lumpur.
 
“Building a kinder Malaysia starts with ourselves. We need to realise that we can play a part as responsible citizens to help elevate the quality of life of our fellow Malaysians with simple acts of kindness,” added Khairil.
 
From now until 11 October, Malaysians can support and be part of the ‘Boost My Malaysia’ movement just by spending with Boost. The e-wallet pledges up to RM 2.50 to various causes for every 100 transactions done via the app.
 
● For A Kinder Malaysia, with every 100 online payment transactions made, you can help Boost give back to Pertiwi Soup Kitchen to provide food aid to the less fortunate.
● For A Cleaner Malaysia, collaborating with the World Health Organization Global Service Centre on an international coastal cleanup movement, Boost assures that with every 100 bill payment transactions, you’ll help remove 1kg worth of trash from our coasts, keep our beaches clean and contribute to Reef Check Malaysia.
● For A Fairer and A Progressive Malaysia, Boost will work hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Rural Development on the Desa Pintar initiative to enhance entrepreneurship among rural residents and bring them into the digital economy. Other initiatives Boost is supporting include the development of special education in which the e-wallet will contribute towards for every 100 ‘Scan & Pay’ transactions done at physical partners and merchants.
● Finally, for A Healthier Malaysia, with every 100 prepaid top-ups purchased, Boost commits to help MySTEMI Foundation generate funds that will enable heart attack patients to gain access to the latest heart attack treatments and intervention.
 
From this Malaysia Day onwards, let’s together build a prosperous nation by striving to be kinder, cleaner, healthier, fairer and more progressive irrespective of race and creed.
