SELECTIVE CAPITAL REDUCTION AND REPAYMENT EXERCISE UNDERTAKEN BY CBB PURSUANT TO SECTION 116 OF THE COMPANIES ACT, 2016 ("SCR")


KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- We refer to the press releases in relation to the SCR dated 16 April 2019, 22 April 2019, 20 June 2019, 22 August 2019 and 29 August 2019 (collectively "Press Releases'). Unless otherwise defined herein, all expressions used in this press release shall carry the same meanings as defined in the Press Releases.

On behalf of the Board, CIMB Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that following the lodgement of the sealed Order on 20 September 2019 and the settlement of the offer price of the SCR that was made to the entitled shareholders of CBB ("Entitled Shareholders") on 27 September 2019 via:

(i) electronic remittance to the eDividend accounts of the Entitled Shareholders duly registered with Bursa Malaysia Depository Sdn Bhd ("Bursa Depository"); and

(ii) remittance in the form of cheques despatched by ordinary mail to the Entitled Shareholders for their designated agents, as they may direct) at the Entitled Shareholders' registered address last maintained with Bursa Depository,

the SCR was completed on 27 September 2019.
