Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to deliver opening keynote at the premier conference of professionals, communication and sustainable businesses 

KUALA LUMPUR, OCt 16 (Bernama) -- WOWComm or Workshops of the World Communicate 2019 continues to receive profound recognition and this time from Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail herself.
 
The Deputy Premier who is also Women, Family and Community Development Minister, is set to take the stage and present her opening keynote at the one-day conference on December 5, 2019 at Putrajaya Marriott.
 
Her address comes in the light of the conference’s commitment to harnessing communication and connection in the business world whilst establishing sustainable pathways to development.
 
“Dr Wan Azizah’s presence at WOWComm 2019 reinstates the government’s effort to embrace environmental protection practices among families and communities, thus enhancing environmental sustainability,” says Anne Edwards, WOWComm 2019 Organising Chairman.
 
The communication and sustainability conference has also received the royal nod from IDEAS Founding President YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz who will present the special keynote.
 
Representing the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) is Resident Representative for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Niloy Banerjee who will be giving his welcoming remarks at the conference.
 
“WOWComm’s objectives are also very much in line with UNDP’s aim to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and eradicate poverty and inequality, tackling the dual threats of climate change and disasters,” added Edwards.
 
Throughout the day, a myriad of topics explicitly designed towards WOWComm’s theme to “communicate with a cause” will be deliberated by speakers and panelists, all captains of industries.
 
They include Greenman Matthias Gelber, Malay Mail Editor-in-chief Datuk Wong Sai Wan, Astro Awani Deputy Editor-in-chief Kamarul Bahrin Haron, BFM 89.9 Producer and Presenter Freda Liu, Rootwommers Chief Executive Officer Camelia Tan Sri Yaacob and Federation President for Asia and the Pacific of Soroptimist International Dato’ Anusha Santhirasthipam. 
 
Highlight of the conference, in the afternoon, is a special address by Guest of Honour YB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, President Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
