KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 6 (Bernama) -- The recent outbreak of respiratory illness caused by the Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has seen many lives affected around the world. As the disease expands, global authorities together with its citizens are stepping up to combat the situation for prevention and cure.

Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) will follow all travel advisory & health advisory issued by the national crisis committee on the spread of the epidemic. MyCEB is actively playing its active role in creating efforts, especially through the business events community.

The Organisation is committed to the following:

As the business events industry commands high traffic arrivals from around the globe, MyCEB will stay focus on educating its stakeholders within the community including hospitality operators, Professionals Conference Organisers (PCOs) and more. MyCEB aim to ensure the strictest in communicating and effective implementation of measures by relevant authorities.

MyCEB is working with authorities that are closest to the Bureau, including the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Malaysia as well as its counterpart, the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) to cascade valid news and statements to relevant stakeholders. This is to ensure that only genuine news is communicated, cutting down rumours via social media platforms.
