CYBERJAYA, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”), through subsidiary companies Genaxis Group Sdn Bhd and IAC Consulting Sdn Bhd, are organising a series of webinars to share their expertise in digital technology for development of smart cities as well as tourism in Malaysia.

The webinars will be held on 26 October and  28 October 2020, and aimed at an audience ranging from urban managers, town planners to innovators and professionals in information technology (“IT”), city management and tourism industries.

These webinars are part of efforts to encourage the use of digital technology and innovation to improve the quality of life, promote economic growth as well as develop sustainable and safe environment for the public.

On 26 October 2020, Genaxis will be speaking on the topic called “Smart Tourism on the Cloud”. The webinar, targeted at the tourism industry as well as IT and digital specialists, will serve as a platform for experts to share their insights on Malaysia’s smart tourism initiatives.

In addition, there will also be another upcoming webinar focused on understanding issues and challenges of smart city implementation and vision of future cities namely “Smart City: Building Cities for Today and Tomorrow”  on 28 October 2020.
 
In both webinars, urban managers, town planners and representatives from Ministries, local authorities and the IT industry are invited to listen to speakers from such organisations as Iskandar Regional Development Authority and Hewlett Packard Enterprise who will talk about their experience in implementing smart city initiatives.
