Dato’ Mustapha Buang, Non-Executive Chairman of AgrobankKUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- Agrobank today announced the appointment of Dato’ Mustapha Buang as the new Non-Executive Chairman of Agrobank, effective 12 November 2020. The appointment had received approval from Bank Negara Malaysia and the Finance Ministry.
Dato’ Mustapha is currently the Managing Director of Asian PAC Holdings Berhad since January 2001.
Dato’ Mustapha Buang started his career as an Economic Planner with the Johor
Economic Development Corporation upon his graduation in 1972. He then joined the financial industry in 1974 holding senior management position and gathered 16 years of experience in the finance sector. At present, he holds directorships in several private limited companies, and sits as Committee Member of Board of Trustee and as Trustee/Board in a few non-profit organisations in Malaysia.
Dato’ Mustapha, who holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from University Malaya, said he was pleased to join Agrobank during a very important phase to strengthen food security for the nation.
