  MPC TO HOST GLOBAL EXCELLENCE COUNCIL MEETING 2021: GLOBAL GUARDIANS OF PREMIER EXCELLENCE MODELS

PETALING JAYA, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysia will be hosting the Global Excellence Council (GEC) which will commence its annual meeting virtually on 16th August 2021. The meeting is organise by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and will be chaired by YBhg. Datin Zainon Bakar, Deputy Director General MPC.  
 
The GEC members are recognised globally as the guardians of the leading Excellence Models and Awards processes in their specific geographical area or trading block. GEC members support and promote excellence to improve the competitiveness of organisations across the globe by participating in cross national working groups.  Being a member of GEC, MPC has benefitted through mutual sharing of good practices and initiatives with other global leaders in Business Excellence.
 
Currently, the Council has 12 members comprising of MPC, Australian Organizational Excellence Foundation (AOEF),  African Excellence Forum (AEF), Baldrige Performance Excellence Program (USA), China Association for Quality (CAQ), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP), European Foundation For Quality Management (EFQM), Fundación Iberoamericana para la Gestion de la Calidad (FUNDIBEQ) Spain, Foundation of National Quality (FNQ) BRAZIL, Instituto para el Fomento a la Calidad Total (IFCT) Mexico and Japan Quality Award Council (JQAC).

The virtual meeting provides a great platform for members to bring back the value creation of other member countries which can be adopted for the betterment of the nation.
