SEDA MALAYSIA ASSISTED COMMUNITIES AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Sustainable Energy Authority Development (SEDA) Malaysia lent a helping hand to Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Jimah in Lukut, Negeri Sembilan through the ‘Tautan Kasih’ programme yesterday. The ‘Tautan Kasih’ programme is one of the activities under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives by SEDA Malaysia. The programme aimed to reach out to communities and the B40 groups that have been affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. During the event, SEDA Malaysia Board Member, YBrs. Puan SJ Usha Nandhini presented a donation consists of electrical appliances, reading materials, dry food supplies, and daily items such as adult pampers, detergent, etc to the Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Jimah Chairman Encik M.Perumal. “We hope our contribution, even if only in some small way, will help to alleviate the burdens of those affected by the pandemic, including charity houses such as this Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Jimah. It requires the commitment and shared efforts of all strata of society, and we are all in this together,” said YBrs. Puan Usha. Besides Rumah Sejahtera Orang Tua Jimah, this ‘Tautan Kasih’ programme also was held in several districts in Perak by SEDA Malaysia Board Member YBhg. Datuk Hang Tuah Bin Din @ Mohamed Din. Donations in the form of packed foods, mineral water, face mask kits, and Malaysia flags were given to frontliners COVID-19 as a thank you for their endless dedications protecting the Nation during this unprecedented time. The ‘Tautan Kasih’ programme was part of SEDA Malaysia’s 10th Anniversary celebrations with a myriad of activities planned, including a series of CSR programmes aimed to assist several groups of people such as those affected by the pandemic, COVID-19 frontliners, as well as selected B40 communities nationwide.
