Sustaining Growth within ASEAN through Innovation

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 (Bernama) -- The Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC) 2021 begin its conference today with the theme of “Sustaining Growth within ASEAN through Innovation”. SABC this year is conducted online, via a Webinar Series and a Full Day Hybrid Conference.
 
This year, the conference will see key business and economic leaders from around the region, including government delegations, high-profile industry players, trade associations, business chambers and international investors, gather to discuss the next trends in business and society.
 
SABC 2021 opens with Ambassadorial Panel Session with the theme Innovation in Sustaining Growth in ASEAN. The panellist will be discussing on how most countries are considering ideas to boost investment and economic growth, resume trade, turn to novel ideas to revive the service-based economy, and foster digital initiatives to transform. 
 
The first panel session themed “INNOVATE ASEAN - Fostering Collaboration and Creating New Economic Opportunities” will discuss how ASEAN economies can devise a comprehensive plan for post-pandemic recovery with specific focus on leveraging technology to sustain growth in the New Normal as well as strengthening synergy among the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
 
The next panel session will focus on “INNOVATE Business - Virtual is Real”. In this session, the panellists will talk about the opportunities being created in the Digital Economy which is enabling cross border transactions, monetisation of new business models, market access and business expansion into ASEAN at an unprecedented speed and scale.
 
The third panel session, which discusses “INNOVATE Manufacturing - Look beyond Smart Manufacturing, Smart Factories, and Glimpse into the Future of Manufacturing will explore how smart manufacturing technologies and smart human resource deployment can be adopted to increase production efficiency, achieve asset optimization, increase revenue and create a sustainable business in the Digital Economy. The panellists will also discuss how whether SMEs can keep up with the pace of technology to remain competitive.
 
The final session will be on the topic of “INNOVATE Enterprise - The 4th IR is Real”. 4 prominent business leaders from Malaysia will be the panel speakers to discuss and share real life case studies of how businesses that embraced change and the 4th IR were able to tap into new opportunities for growth.
 
Over the years, the Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC) has brought key economic leaders from around the world including government delegations, high-profile industry players, trade associations, business chambers and international investors, on a common platform to discuss the latest thoughts and ideas about the way forward in vital economic integration, market access and opportunities in the ASEAN region.
