KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- Many countries are easing their restrictions and gradually re-opening their borders, making it mandatory for inbound visitors to have travel insurance that covers Covid-19-related medical expenses. While the COVID-19 pandemic situation is still ever evolving, many travellers are concerned if they are covered and protected against the pandemic.

Travellers now have the option to add on Pandemic Cover for overseas trip to cover trip cancellation, trip curtailment, medical, hospital and treatment expenses, hospital allowance, emergency medical evacuation, emergency medical repatriation and repatriation of mortal remains if they are diagnosed with a pandemic illness.
 
Emmanuel Nivet, Chief Executive Officer of AXA emphasised that travel insurance has now become more essential than ever as a safety net that protects against unforeseen emergencies and expenses. With travellers being more mindful of every possible scenario they could encounter, they will prioritise ‘safe travels’ and plan ahead to safeguard their trips for peace of mind.
