TOURISM MALAYSIA BAGS NATIONAL ORGANISATION OF THE YEAR FOR THE SECOND TIME AT ITTA 2021/22

JAKARTA, Dec 17 (Bernama) -- Tourism Malaysia is once again awarded as the National Organisation of the Year at the 12th Indonesia Travel & Tourism Awards (ITTA) 2021/2022, held at the Tribrata Darmawangsa Hotel, Jakarta on 15 December 2021. This year’s recognition marks Tourism Malaysia’s second consecutive win after bringing home the same award during ITTA 2019/2020. Organised by the ITTA Foundation, the annual event aims to celebrate and acknowledge the growth and development achieved by the local and international tourism industry players. This year’s ceremony presented a total of 47 categories of awards as a form of appreciation to the tourism industry players including travel agencies, hotels, hospitality investors, and foreign tourism boards. The National Organisation of The Year award was presented to Tourism Malaysia through its overseas office in Jakarta to the Deputy Director of Tourism Malaysia Jakarta, Ms Haryanty Abu Bakar. The recognition serves as a tribute to Tourism Malaysia for its active role and participation in its consistent promotion through the mainstream and social media platforms as well as engagement with Indonesia industry players and media. Through this triumph, Tourism Malaysia aims to further restore the confidence among the industry players to continue promoting and selling Malaysia’s attractions and tourism products. Following the announcement of Malaysia’s pilot travel bubble, Tourism Malaysia Jakarta is optimistic to receive approximately 200 pax of Indonesian tourists joining the Langkawi International Travel Bubble since its opening on 15th November 2021.
