• SEBA 2022 sees an expansion with dedicated chapters and Awards Gala for the Northern and Southern regions.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- The SME and Entrepreneurs Business Award 2022 (SEBA 2022) has announced a new concept and expansion for its 7th edition, themed ‘SEBA 2022: RISE UP’.
 
Continuing from the SEBA 2021 Thriving The waves concept, SEBA 2022 aims to further elevate the local SMEs and community in rising to more challenges while celebrating their successes in every step. SEBA 2022 consists of three chapters: the Northern Edition, the Southern Edition, and the KL Grand. The Northern and Southern editions aim to spotlight regional SMEs and entrepreneurs, while the KL Grand serves as the pinnacle of recognition.  
 
“Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia is proud to learn that many SMEs and entrepreneurs have been thriving in the waves for the past two years, and we continue to assist the community. SEBA has done exceptionally well for the past years; we received strong encouragement and wide coverage; hence it is natural to expand SEBA outside of Kuala Lumpur. We believe many entrepreneurs with stellar performances are under-recognised outside of their regions. It is time to showcase these talents and subsequently bring them to the national level,” says Nitesh Malani, Chairman of Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia and Founder of SEBA. 
 
“SEBA 2022: RISE UP is an exciting concept where we have three individual chapters for each region. We aim to go and get to know the local SMEs and entrepreneurs in each region, and with that, provide all-inclusive networking opportunities and growth for the Malaysian SMEs community,” says Ms. Lyndia Wong, Chairperson of SEBA  2022. 
 
The Northern Edition covers Langkawi, Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak and will have the Awards Gala in March 2022. The Southern Edition covers Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor, with an Awards Gala in August 2022, while the KL Grand is open for SMEs and entrepreneurs for the whole of Malaysia, with a Grand Gala in November 2022.
