PBS graduates after the inaugural convocation ceremony on 15th January 2022

SERDANG, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- The Putra Business School (PBS) Inaugural Convocation Ceremony, held on January 15, 2022, at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium, UPM, marked the conferment of degrees to 163 graduates by PBS Chancellor YBhg. Academician Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Syed Jalaludin Syed Salim.

President’s Award recipient, Mr. Syafiq Gerard Nathan bin Abdullah, commended the rigour and quality of PBS programmes. “As a general manager and civil engineer with over 28 years of experience, I was wary of pursuing a Master’s course that is too textbook-oriented or impractical for the real world. I was pleasantly surprised to be taught by accomplished industry experts whose teachings and case studies were applicable to my current work projects.”

“Running a family business and pursuing MBA simultaneously surely will present many obstacles and hardships that will give anyone second thoughts,” said Mr. Wan Muhammad Afifuddin Bin Wan Akashah, who works alongside mother Ustazah Siti Nor Bahyah Mahamood, a well-known motivational speaker. “At PBS, The facilities are up-to-date and the learning schedules are very flexible and convenient.”

Siblings Chua Hui Chee and Chua Hui Min shared that they had chosen PBS due to its strong collaborations with industry and professional bodies. Students may earn up to 3 certificates upon completion of the MBA Programme, through partnerships with the Institute of Marketing Malaysia (IMM), Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM), and The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).

“It provides me the opportunity to be an associate member of MAICSA upon completion of my MBA programme in PBS. Secondly, PBS is also highly recognised and regarded as one of the top business schools in Malaysia.” Said Chua.

“As an international student, PBS’ triple accreditation is a valuable bonus to the curriculum,” said Andrew Dawson from Florida, United States. “And in the classroom, I was able to learn with a diverse cohort of peers from all over the world. It was truly a global education experience, and I was able to make lasting friendships and connections with all my classmates.”
