SHAH ALAM, Jan 24 (Bernama) -- INTEC student, Nur Adlina Shaharuddin, was announced as the World number one (1) in Recording Financial Transactions (FA1) for her December 2021 examination of ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (FIA). Adlina who is originally from Sungai Petani, Kedah, said that she is now staying in Kedah while doing her study only through online platform.

Although not being able to meet the lecturers and classmates physically, she is using the search engine and YouTube platforms as the alternative sources to understand her study. Other than relying on the internet, her secret of success is always to revisit the recording online lessons and consulting with her lecturers every time she needed explanation. “It has been great since the environment is friendly, with all the students and lecturers being approachable. The lecturers are good at delivering the lectures with additional knowledge and stories that make the class more comfortable,” said Adlina while telling her experience with the teaching and learning at INTEC.

Adlina who took Prinsip Perakaunan during her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) was not planning on pursuing her study in Professional Accountancy. However, her ambition started to shine when she was offered the scholarship programme by YPPB for the FIA programme at INTEC. The first rank received by Adlina also makes her the number one (1) achiever in Malaysia for that subject.

Previously known as Certified Accounting Technician (CAT), FIA is the one-year programme before continuing with four (4) years of ACCA per certificate programme. According to Adlina, she is planning to secure her pathway in ACCA after graduating from FIA.
