Selangor Aviation Show, 8-10 September 2022 at Skypark RAC, Subang Airport 
 

SUBANG, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- Selangor Aviation Show 2022 (SAS2022) was officiated by His Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, the Crown Prince of Selangor. Held on 8th to 10th September 2022, SAS2022 is designed as another forward-thinking initiative by the state for all relevant stakeholders to network, dialogue, and share knowledge and offerings poised to revitalise the industry.
 
Hosted by the Selangor State Government and organised by Invest Selangor, the event will be a networking event for the aerospace industry players, especially the Business and General Aviation players, to re-energise their business in the region.
 
Themed “The One & Only Business Aviation Show in the Region”, SAS2022 focuses on the Business and General Aviation industry, especially in Selangor, as worldwide data has shown this sector of the aerospace industry to be more resilient to the pandemic impact and its recovery is quicker and more sustainable than most other aerospace industry sectors.
 
The SAS2022, which have strong local representation, also attracted international players from Thailand, Indonesia, China & Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Brazil, Canada, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Nigeria, United Kingdom and United States.

 
Major international OEMs like Embraer SA, Dassault Aviation and Delta Aerospace and local industry leaders such as Systematic Aviation Services, Dviation Group, AERODYNE and Pen Aviation are all exhibiting in this year’s SAS 2022.
 
Several highlights throughout the SAS2022 include product, services and technology exhibitions, static aircraft displays, drone displays, networking sessions, numerous talks on the industry’s hot topics and even an Edu-Open Day on 10 September for the NextGen visitors.
 
Apart from the program lined-up, the opening of SAS 2022 also witnessed several document exchanges ceremony. Some key highlights are the MoC between Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) ("MBI Selangor") with ten (10) key players within the Aerospace Industry, namely GE Engine Services Malaysia Sdn. Bd. ("GE Malaysia"), Spirit AeroSystems Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. ("Spirit") and other main Tier 1 and local large companies.
 
“As the key driver of the economic thrust under the Rancangan Selangor Pertama (RS-1), MBI Selangor is taking the neccessary steps to address the talent development element within the aerospace industry in Selangor by establishing the Selangor Skills Framework Platform (“SSFP”), a one-stop platform providing access to the employment skill requirements and career pathway in the aerospace industry, thanks to our ten (10) strategic partners for their feedback and advisory” said the MBI Selangor's Chief Executive Officer, Puan Hajah Norita Sidek.
 
On why the state is pushing hard to promote Business and General Aviation at Subang Airport, YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin bin Shari said, “Selangor remains the location of choice and since the year 2020 to date, there has been a significant increase in Aerospace and Aviation companies present in Selangor.”
 
Interested trade visitors may still register to attend the SAS2022, with some limitations to time slot availability. The public and students are encouraged to visit on the show’s third day.
