KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 13 (Bernama) -- Agrobank has clinched three prestigious awards for its excellent and outstanding public relations campaigns and initiatives at the Malaysia Public Relations Awards 2022 (MPRA 2022) held on Friday.
The three awards are: (i) the
Best Public Affairs Award for the public relations (PR) initiatives and achievements during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture, and Agro Tourism Exhibition 2022 (MAHA 2022); (ii) the
Best PR-Led Integrated Campaign Award for its National Day Campaign themed #Berbudi; and (iii) the
Best Financial Community Award under its flagship financial literacy programme called ‘Program Celik Wang’.
Commenting on the winning initiatives, Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, President / Chief Executive Officer of Agrobank said, "We are honoured to receive the awards for two consecutive years by the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Malaysia under the MPRA 2022. With the goal of transforming agriculture and going beyond banking in mind, Agrobank strives to provide the best financial solutions and a holistic approach to its products and services through its ongoing tactical communications plans and public relations campaigns."
"These awards are a tribute to the work and commitment of the entire Marketing & Communications team at Agrobank. Importantly, this recognition is an excellent reflection of our efforts in leveraging a multi-channel, multi-pronged approach in seeding out core messages and value at the Bank level, not only via media platforms, but also through various grassroot channels and initiatives, centred on showcasing the transformation of the agriculture sector and food security in Malaysia," he added.
"Embedded in our DNA, these awards are a testimony to Agrobank's exceptional and unique approach in fulfilling our essential role and determination to support the agriculture sector and develop the socio-economic status of the unserved and underserved communities.”
“Moving forward, Agrobank will continue to develop strategies and strengthen our developmental role as a Development Financial Institution (DFI) to drive the agriculture sector’s economic development by supporting viable agribusinesses and interlinked processes along the value chain through our agrifinance products and services," added Dato’ Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah.
At the award ceremony, the Best Public Affairs Award under Corporate Category honours the most effective use of public affairs channels and platforms by looking for evidence of work in research, media relations, grassroots community activity, and lobbying through earned media.
Meanwhile, the Best PR-Led Integrated Campaign Award recognises an initiative led by an in-house public relations team that successfully used at least three different channels by strategically planning the role of public relations in the campaign's conceptualization, development, and execution.
As for the Best Financial Community Award, it honours the most effective ongoing campaign in the financial sector, by concentrating on work that is primarily targeted at financial industry audiences and stakeholders.
The awards were received by its Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Rosdi Effendi Mohammed Effendi in a ceremony held in the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral on Friday.
MPRA are the industry awards organised by the PRCA Malaysia, an organisation dedicated to fostering public relations excellence, to recognise successful campaigns of organisations and PR consultancies, as well as individuals that define the cutting edge of work in the public relations arena.
