CYBERJAYA , Jan 25 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Autoshow, which was last held in 2019, will make a significant return from 4th to 7th May 2023 at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The Autoshow's sixth edition - organised by the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) - will not only feature the latest motoring and automotive exhibitions but also expand its scope to include important technologies that the public can expect in the near future as Malaysia's mobility sector operates in the digital era.
The show is curated to maximize the potential for both industry players and consumers alike, by developing market awareness on future mobility products and services to spur a more technology-conscious consumer market. The biggest automotive brands in the country will be taking part in this year’s show with the theme ‘Mobility Redefined.
The Autoshow also returns with new feature additions - the Malaysia Bike Show, Malaysia EV Show and Charged.
The Malaysia Bike Show will showcase the breadth of 2-wheeler lifestyle - from Sports Bikes to Trail Dirt Bikes. Meanwhile, the Malaysia EV Show and Charged will focus on the various types of electric vehicles, vehicle charging technology, as well as accessories, parts and digital applications that make up the EV ecosystem.
The Malaysia Autoshow 2023 is an important agenda on the Malaysian automotive calendar, as it is one of MARii's flagship programmes to interact directly with the general public to serve not only as an event to showcase next-generation vehicles (NxGVs), but also a platform to educate and develop awareness in vehicle safety, environmental protection and market expansion of local technology and engineering.
The 2023 edition will maintain the Autoshow's tradition of presenting an experiential ecosystem for visitors of all ages. Visitors can expect to test the latest vehicles at the 3km long test route, learn the experience about vehicle technology features, and participate in immersive mobility-related indoor and outdoor activities in the 30,000 square meter spaces at the MAEPS showgrounds. At the same time, industry experts and businesses will benefit from various industry talks, exhibitions and sharing sessions held throughout the 4-day event.
“The Malaysia Autoshow 2023 is a testament to the growing variety of options available to consumers and a catalyst for the advancement of electric vehicle (EV) development in Malaysia. This aligns with the government's efforts to support and facilitate the local and international industry players in the development of EV in Malaysia’s automotive scene”, said MARii Chairman, Datuk Phang Ah Tong.
“Most importantly, it signifies the government's commitment to showcasing mobility solutions that are increasing in fuel efficiency, safety and security in-line with the National Automotive Policy 2020”, he added.
