MALAYSIA INKS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS TO FURTHER PROPEL CLINICAL RESEARCH IN THE COUNTRY
Thursday 11/05/2023
KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) -- Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) renewed its partnership with IQVIA, a leading global provider of advanced analytics, technology solutions and clinical research services to the life sciences industry, at the CRM Trial Connect 2023 conference held at Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur.
The renewal of partnership with IQVIA on its Prime & Partner Site program stems from the success of the network that was established since 2013. The program that saw the involvement of CRM and Institute for Clinical Research (ICR) recorded significant increase in IQVIA’s trial patient enrolment, reduction in contract timelines, high protocol compliance and greater performance at trial sites. These achievements led to increase in the number of clinical trials brought in by IQVIA, making them the top contributing Contract Research Organisation (CRO) in the country.
The ICR-CRM-IQVIA network has grown to 18 Ministry of Health (MOH) study sites from just eight sites a decade ago. Key performances of these study sites are monitored and managed to ensure consistent and quality delivery of clinical trials. The network has led to many positive accomplishments and have even received recognition by IQVIA early this year as a top performing network. The renewal of partnership was witnessed by YB Dr Zaliha Mustafa, Minister of Health and Mr Ben Laverty, Head of R&D Operations (Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand).
In parallel, CRM also formalised its partnership with Marken, a leader in end-to end solution provider for clinical research. This strategic partnership is vital to Malaysia’s initiatives in expanding into decentralised clinical trials, especially on home health care services. About Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM)
Established by Malaysian Ministry of Health in 2012, Clinical Research Malaysia exists to advance global health solutions for a brighter, more hopeful future for the people by providing speedy and reliable end-to-end clinical research support for quality studies.
