KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 22 (Bernama) -- PETRONAS has released ‘A Gift of Heart’ today, the final instalment of its festive films for the year.
Helmed by award-winning director, Quek Shio, the film emphasises the significance of nurturing kindness, gratitude and tolerance to sow seeds of harmony for the future. Capturing the quintessence of the season, the story embodies the spirit of gratitude and appreciation.
The heartwarming narrative unfolds through the lens of four spirited schoolchildren -- Hannah, Alice, Jeff and Syazwan -- and their relationship with the school caretaker, Aunty Cecilia, who diligently cleans the school compound and cares for the flowers planted around the school.
Delighting in the unfiltered lens of childhood innocence, the film portrays the camaraderie of these four friends as they learn and play at school, sprinkling laughter and leaving a messy trail along the way.
An unexpected incident causes tension between the children and Aunty Cecilia, but in the spirit of the new year, they enthusiastically band together to make amends and plant the seed of new beginnings.
PETRONAS General Manager, Communications Management Department,
Group Strategic Relations and Communications, Mohd Fazli Ibrahim said, "As we approach the end of 2023, it’s important to reflect and show appreciation for the acts of kindness and joy that coloured our year.
“We hope that our diverse interpretations of the theme ‘Roots of Our Future’ not only entertain but inspire everyone to celebrate our shared connections and cultural diversity. Thank you to everyone who came on this journey with us and we look forward to progressing into the new year together," he added.
‘A Gift of Heart’ is available to watch on PETRONAS’ Facebook and YouTube channels from 22 December 2023.
