KOTA KINABALU, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- Kimanis Power Sdn Bhd (KPSB) a joint venture between PETRONAS Gas Berhad (PGB) and NRG Consortium (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (NRG) has paid an interim dividend of RM16 million to NRG Consortium shareholders for the financial year ending 31 December 2023. 

NRG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Innoprise Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (ICSB), which in turn is a unit of Yayasan Sabah. ICSB, which was incorporated in 1988 is an investment vehicle, management and holding company of Yayasan Sabah's group of companies.

KPSB Chairman Abdul Aziz Othman handed over a replica cheque to Innoprise Corporation Sdn Bhd Executive Chairman Datuk Jasnih Daya, witnessed by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, during a ceremony held at Menara Kinabalu last Friday (18 January 2023).

KPSB is the operator of Kimanis Power Plant (KPP), one of the independent power producers in Sabah. Since the commencement of KPSB’s commercial venture in 2014, the company has successfully delivered consistent dividend returns to its shareholders. 

Also present at the ceremony were Head of PETRONAS Sabah and Labuan Regional Office, Siti Ayu Abdul Wahab, and Chief Executive Officer of KPSB, Rozali Khamis. 

KPSB has contributed to the reliability and security of power supply in Sabah since 2014 and will continue to support the state's economic growth.

Kimanis Power Plant, operated by Kimanis Power Sdn Bhd (KPSB) is a 300MW gas-fired Combined-Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant, established in 2014 to strengthen the Sabah electricity grid.

PETRONAS Gas Berhad owns 60 per cent of KPSB while NRG Consortium (Sabah) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Yayasan Sabah owns the remaining 40 per cent.
