This significant event follows HDC's participation in the first Bilateral Consultation between Malaysia and the Kyrgyz Republic, held in February 2024 in Bishkek. Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this consultation focused on exploring potential collaborations in the halal industry.

This collaboration comes soon after Malaysian Prime Minister YAB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's official visit to Kyrgyzstan in May this year. During this visit, Prime Minister Anwar emphasized Malaysia's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through various sectors, including the halal ecosystem, trade and investment.
In his discussions with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, Prime Minister YAB Anwar expressed Malaysia's readiness to explore opportunities within the halal industry, stressing its vast potential for both countries. He noted that key ministers from his delegation were present to reinforce this commitment, including the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.
Chairman of HDC said, “This MoU signifies a mutual aspiration to strengthen bilateral relations between Malaysia and Kyrgyz Republic through cooperation in halal initiatives. It aims to foster greater trade and investment activities while providing wider market access opportunities for halal industry players in both countries.”
