SAS2024 Soars to New Heights: Record-Breaking Attendance, Landmark MOUs, and RM 3.2 Billion in Potential Deals SHAH ALAM, 13 Dec (Bernama) -- The Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) has quickly become a premier platform for innovation, collaboration and trade in the aerospace and aviation sectors. Its growing influence highlights Selangor’s efforts to establish itself as a key regional trade hub in ASEAN, supporting both established industries and emerging sectors.
With a focus on fostering partnerships and advancing economic opportunities, SAS also bridges diverse sectors such as lifestyle, talent development and cutting-edge technologies, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for progress in the region.

th September at SkyPark RAC, Selangor exceeded all expectations. This year’s event welcomed an unprecedented
29,638 visitors over three days, surpassing our target of 25,000 and representing a substantial leap from the 19,217 visitors recorded last year.
The event saw a diverse range of participants, including 129 exhibitors, speakers and visitors from 39 countries. Attendees witnessed an impressive display of 40 aircraft, including 31 Malaysian-owned planes and 9 international models from India, France and Singapore. Among the highlights were the Falcon 8X, Dornier 228, Honda HA-420 HondaJet and Diamond aircraft series.
Adding to the event’s prestige, 52 esteemed speakers from Malaysia and abroad delivered insights through 22 forums and panel discussions, fostering meaningful dialogue on key industry trends and challenges.
A key achievement of SAS2024 was the signing of 41 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), nearly doubling the 28 agreements from SAS2023. These agreements reflect collaborations between local companies and international entities from Singapore, China, the Czech Republic and Thailand, underscoring the event’s growing global reach. With a total potential transaction value of
RM3.2 billion, this milestone marks
the largest in SAS history and highlights the event’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the aerospace industry.
These MOUs span various strategic areas, including the development of Selangor Aero Park, advancements in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), electric aviation, workforce training, aerospace research and expanded Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) capabilities.
SAS2024 also demonstrated a commitment to nurturing the next generation of aviation talent. In collaboration with PERKESO, the event hosted a vibrant Career Fair featuring 37 leading aviation and aerospace companies. Over two days, 222 jobseekers successfully secured employment, reflecting the fair’s impactful contribution to workforce development.
The fifth edition will explore new locations to better serve its audience and expand its focus to include a diverse landscape ecosystem. Key segments will encompass MRO, Business Aviation and Commercial, sports aviation, search and rescue operations, drones, helicopters, space development and supporting services such as F&B, talent development and airport operations.
