GMG AIRLINES MAKING HISTORY BY COMMENCING DAILY FLIGHTS TO CHITTAGONG

KUALA LUMPUR , 7 DECEMBER - GMG Airlines, A Privately-owned Airline From Bangladesh, Is Setting A Milestone By Introducing Daily Flights From Kuala Lumpur To Chittagong, Effective December 09th, 2007.
The new Chittagong “ Kuala Lumpur route will be operated by using MD82 (153 seats) and B737-800 (89 seats) aircraft types.
Y.Bhg. Dato’ Seri Bashir Ahmad, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports said: We are very pleased with the introduction of this new route by GMG Airlines, as it will provide passengers direct connection to Chittagong, one of the major cities in Bangladesh.
He added: For an airline which has been operating less than a year to Kuala Lumpur, GMG’s move in introducing this new route is more than welcome and we certainly hope GMG will continue to be aggressive in increasing their services to Kuala Lumpur.
GMG started their operations to Kuala Lumpur from Dhaka on January 23, 2007 with three flights weekly and following good loads, has introduced and maintained a daily flight effective July 15th, 2007 till now.
We always pay attention to details and ensure that international standard of quality services are provided by our officials to GMG’s valued customers at each interacting points. We are thankful to the Aeronautical Authorities of Malaysia and the travel fraternity, who have been very helpful to us in expanding our operations from 3 flights per week to 14 flights per week in a very short span of 10 months of operations. said Mr.Virendra Nautiyal, Executive Director Asia & Pacific Region. He further stated that its a matter of great professional satisfaction to all of us that we shall be the first carrier to connect Kuala Lumpur to Chittagong, known as the financial capital of Bangladesh.
GMG Airlines has geared up the concept of air travel in Bangladesh and neighboring countries when it first started its operations on 6th April 1998, as a domestic carrier, by providing exceptional service which is valued & cherished by all travelers. GMG Airlines has made aviation history in Bangladesh when it became the only private airline of Bangladesh to fly international routes. This historical event took place on 8th September 2004 on their first international flight from Chittagong to Kolkata.
