We would like to invite members of the media to attend the opening ceremony of the Selangor Heart Safe Mass Training, which will be held on:

Day/Date: Saturday 26 April 2025

Time: 12.00pm noon – 2.00pm

Venue: Ground Floor Main Atrium, Megah Rise Mall
No. 3, Jalan SS 24/8, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The mass training will be one of the largest public cardiopulmonary resuscitations (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training sessions in Selangor, which aims to empower 1,000 participants with vital lifesaving skills. A public access AED machine will also be donated to the Taman Megah SS24 Market as part of our commitment to increasing public safety.

The guest of honour for the event will be YBhg. Dato’ Sri Suriani binti Dato’ Ahmad, Secretary-General Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH). Other distinguished guests include YB Jamaliah Jamaluddin, Public Health & Environment EXCO of Selangor and Puan Mahzura binti Mohd Amin, Deputy Director (Health) Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ).

The programme of the opening ceremony as follows:

12.00pm : Arrival of VIPs and media

12.30pm: Welcome remarks by Dato Dr. Luah Lean Wah, President of Penang Heart Safe Society and Malaysian Resuscitation Association (MyRES)

: Special address by Tan Sri Datuk Seri (Dr) Lee Lam Thye, advisor for Selangor Heart Safe Mass Training and Chairman of the Alliance for A Safe Community (IKATAN)

: Special address by YB Jamaliah Jamaluddin, Public Health & Environment EXCO of Selangor 

: Official Opening Address by Guest of Honour, YBhg. Dato' Sri Suriani binti Dato' Ahmad, Secretary-General Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH)

: Launch of Selangor Heart Safe Mass Training

: Presentation of public access AED machine to MBPJ

: Tour of exhibitions on Ground Floor & training stations at Level 3
