In conjunction with the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) will hold the 25th ASEAN Economic Community Council (AECC) Meeting opening remarks and a press conference as follows:
Opening Remarks by YB Minister of MITI, the Chair of the AEC CouncilDay/Date: Sunday 25 May 2025Time: 8.25 am – 8.40 amVenue: Banquet Hall, Level 3, KLCC Remarks: There will be a presentation on AEC Corporate Video after the opening remarks. The video has an approximate duration of five minutes and serves as a buffer to allow media representatives to exit the meeting room. Press Conference on the 25th AECC Meeting

Venue: Hall 6A, Level 1, KLCC Remarks: Media representatives are requested to be on standby at the Press Conference Room, 15 minutes before the session begins.The AEC Council Meeting will discuss the progress and outcomes of initiatives under the ASEAN Economic Pillar, as outlined in the AEC Blueprint 2025, poised to be concluded this year. In particular, the AECC will highlight on the progress towards the launching of the new AEC Strategic Plan 2026-2030 under the ASEAN Post-2025 Vision, as well to discuss on recent shifts in economic policies by major economies and ASEAN's strategies to address these shifts. The 25th AECC Meeting aim to consider and endorse several report and outcome documents for adoption at the 46th ASEAN Summit.
