Perdana Leadership Foundation (PLF) will be launching its latest publication, “A Conversation with Tan Sri Ambrin Buang: Reflections on Public Service, Leadership, and Governance” on Thursday, 30th July 2026, at the Foundation in Putrajaya.
 

This new publication presents an edited transcript of an oral history interview with Tan Sri Ambrin Buang, Malaysia's former Auditor-General, offering valuable insights into his distinguished career in the public service. It explores his reflections on leadership, public governance, integrity, accountability, institutional reform, and the evolving challenges facing Malaysia's public sector.

The event will also feature a dialogue entitled "Public Governance: Lessons in Leadership, Integrity, and Public Accountability", followed by the official launch of the publication. The dialogue will bring together Tan Sri Ambrin Buang, former Auditor-General of Malaysia, and Dato’ Sri Dr Akhbar Satar, President of the Malaysia Integrity and Governance Society (MIG), as panellists. The session will be moderated by Mr Pushpan Murugiah, Regional Specialist in Anti-Corruption, Governance, and Public Accountability.

This publication presents a compelling and insightful exploration of the life and service of Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Haji Ambrin Buang, one of Malaysia’s most respected figures in public sector governance.
