
The Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) cordially invites members of the press and media to attend and report on The Virtual Industry Forum: Professionalism & Ethics 2026 Ethics in the Age of Digital Trust: Governance, Data & Human Accountability a virtual industry forum bringing together regulators, industry leaders and professional bodies to examine the growing importance of ethics, governance and accountability in an increasingly digital financial ecosystem.
Organised by the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) and powered by Kenanga Investors Berhad as Diamond Partner, the forum will be held virtually as per details below:

Carrying the theme Ethics in the Age of Digital Trust: Governance, Data & Human Accountability, the forum will explore how financial services professionals and organisations can uphold public confidence as technology, artificial intelligence, digital identity and hyper-personalised financial services continue to reshape the industry.
The programme will feature perspectives from the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), Private Pension Administrator Malaysia (PPA), AIA Malaysia, Kenanga Investors Berhad, Opus Islamic Management Sdn Bhd, the Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF), and the Bar Council Malaysia, providing a cross-sector perspective on the evolving responsibilities of professionals in the digital age.
Some highlights of the forum:
• Launch of the Professional Insurance Associate (PIA) and Professional Takaful Associate (PTA) Programme, marking a new professional development initiative for the insurance and takaful sectors.
• Keynote address by Bank Negara Malaysia, represented by Ms Lau Chin Ching, Director, Consumer & Market Conduct.
• Industry roundtable moderated by Datuk Wira Ismitz Matthew De Alwis of Kenanga Investors Berhad, with panellists representing Opus Islamic Management Sdn Bhd, Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals (CIIF) and the Bar Council Malaysia.
The forum also offers professional development recognition, with 4 CPD hours recognised by MFPC, MTA, LIAM and FIMM; 10 CPE hours by SIDC; 5 CE hours by FPAM; and 3.5 CPD hours by the Bar Council.
With digitalisation transforming how financial services are delivered, the forum provides an opportunity for the media to explore the intersection of technology, cybersecurity, consumer protection, data governance, professional ethics and public trust issues that are increasingly relevant to Malaysia's financial services ecosystem.
