SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- As Malaysia assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2025 is set to play a pivotal role in advancing regional economic collaboration as an official component of the ASEAN Summit programming.
 
Taking place from 8 to 11 October 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), SIBS 2025 will adopt a more focused and strategic format, featuring six key event components aligned with ASEAN's economic priorities and Malaysia's leadership in the region.
 
This year, SIBS 2025 is expected to attract 50,000 visitors and feature over 700 booths, further solidifying its position as Southeast Asia’s leading business and trade summit.
 
1. Selangor International F&B Expo (SIE F&B)
A premier Food & Beverage (F&B) exhibition, SIE F&B attracts industry leaders, innovators, and investors seeking partnerships and market expansion. The expo will feature approximately 215 booths, showcasing the latest trends, innovations, and consumer preferences shaping the industry.
 
In 2024, SIE F&B highlighted the region’s strong F&B ecosystem, drawing leading global and local F&B companies and generating a potential transaction value of RM300.4 million—a testament to its growth potential in the region.
 
2. Selangor Investment & Industrial Park Expo (SPARK)
A strategic platform for showcasing ASEAN’s industrial park development, investment opportunities, and industrial advancements. SPARK is expected to host over 239 booths, facilitating discussions and connections between property developers, investors, and manufacturers exploring ASEAN’s strategic advantages, as an investment destination.
 
At SIBS 2024, SPARK achieved a remarkable RM12.2 billion in potential transaction value, exceeding its RM7 billion target, reinforcing its unique role in attracting high-value investments and fostering industrial growth and collaborations in the region.

3. Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC)
A high-level conference bringing together policymakers, business leaders, and investors to discuss economic trends and business opportunities across ASEAN. SABC provides unparalleled access to trade policies, investment strategies, and regional economic integration insights. This year’s SABC will also provide a platform for provinces and key growth regions to share the stage and introduce their competitive advantages to the conference participants.
 
4. Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention (SDEC)
The Selangor Smart City & Digital Economy Convention (SDEC) will serve as a key platform for discussions on the future of digital transformation and smart city development in Selangor. Organised by the Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC), SDEC 2024 will focus on Start-ups, Technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Semiconductor Innovation, and Recruitment Day. This convention will host approximately 150 booths, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to drive the digital economy forward.
 
5. Selangor International Care Summit (New in 2025)
A new feature at SIBS 2025, the Selangor International Care Summit is dedicated to strengthening Selangor’s position as a regional leader in the care economy. It will feature expert forums, panel discussions, and an exhibition with approximately 80 booths, bringing together policymakers, researchers, investors, industry leaders, and social enterprises to drive innovation, encourage strategic investments, and promote sustainable growth within the sector.
 
6. Selangor Aerospace Summit (New in 2025)
The Selangor Aerospace Summit (SAS), a rebranded event previously known as Selangor Aviation Show, will introduce its indoor expo and conference format, focusing on aerospace sector across commercial, general and business aviation as well as aerospace industry.
 
Several topic of discussions include MRO, aero manufacturing, helicopters, drones, UAVs and space will be highlighted. The Summit will also include special discussions on talent requirements in the industry as well as and new initiatives in the industry ecosystem such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
 
As an integral part of the ASEAN Summit official program SIBS 2025 reaffirms Selangor's role as the Gateway to ASEAN, enhancing business engagement, investment opportunities, and trade collaborations across the region.
