KOTA DAMANSARA, March 28 (Bernama) -- Encorp Berhad is delighted to announce the appointment of Puan Nor Azira Abu Bakar as its new Non-Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 27 March 2024.

Puan Nor Azira brings with her over 20 years of experience in financial and management accounting and treasury matters. With an extensive background spanning both government-linked entities and the private sector, she has demonstrated expertise in financial planning, risk management, regulatory compliance and corporate reporting, all essential in steering organisations toward financial sustainability and operational excellence.

Currently, Puan Nor Azira serves as Finance Director at Lembaga Kemajuan Tanah Persekutuan (FELDA), a role she has held since November 2020. She plays a pivotal role in supporting FELDA’s strategic and operational financial planning, identifying risks and opportunities and implementing corrective measures to ensure long-term financial stability.

Prior to her tenure at FELDA, she held key financial leadership positions at FGV Holdings Berhad, Felda Engineering Services Sdn Bhd and Felda Properties Sdn Bhd between 2007 and 2020. Earlier in her career, Puan Nor Azira held accounting roles at Maju Holdings Berhad, Opcom Holdings Berhad and Suria Resorts Management Sdn Bhd, where she developed her expertise in financial operations.

Puan Nor Azira is a Certified Public Accountant, affiliated with The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Universiti Utara Malaysia.

Her appointment underscores Encorp Berhad’s commitment to strong corporate governance, financial integrity and strategic leadership. With her vast expertise and deep industry knowledge, Puan Nor Azira’s presence on the Board is set to further enhance the company’s financial stewardship and growth trajectory.

In addition, Encorp Berhad is also pleased to announce the redesignation of Encik Kamarul Azman Bin Kamarozaman @ Amir, the Group Chief Financial Officer, who has been serving as Officer-in-Charge since 1 July 2024 overseeing the duties and responsibilities of the Group Chief Executive Officer. Effective 26 March 2025, he has been officially redesignated as Acting Group Chief Executive Officer. His leadership and strategic direction have been instrumental in guiding Encorp Berhad and his new designation further strengthens the company’s executive leadership.
