SINGAPORE, April 10 (Bernama) -- Black Group Investment Holding Pte Ltd (Black Group) today announced the acquisition of LifeBank Stem Cells Pte Ltd (LifeBank), a Singapore-based distributor of stem cell banking and cellular therapy solutions. The agreement was inked at the World Ageing Festival 2025 earlier this week, held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, underscoring Black Group’s commitment to growing its network to support healthy longevity and active ageing.

This strategic acquisition strengthens Black Group’s distribution channel network of personalised medicine and regenerative therapies. By combining LifeBank’s expertise in distribution of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) banking and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) with Black Group’s Meditel, the partnership aims to accelerate access to breakthrough therapies for age-related conditions.

“This is a step toward redefining care for the ageing population,” said Dato Sri’ Alan Lee, CIO of Black Group. “We’re focused on enabling a future where advanced cellular therapies are not only accessible but personalised for every stage of life.”

LifeBank has extensive experience in the distribution of therapies for blood disorders, immune system restoration, genetic diseases, neurodegenerative conditions, and more. Their network supports both clinical research and direct-to-consumer solutions for people seeking long-term health assurance.

“We are proud to become part of the Black Group family,” said Victor Tan, Managing Director of LifeBank Stem Cells Pte Ltd. “Together, we will expand our reach and ensure that stem cell banking and regenerative treatments become a cornerstone of healthy ageing in Singapore and beyond.”

At the World Ageing Festival 2025, Black Group unveiled its plans for Meditel — a first-of-its-kind medical hotel in the heart of Kuala Lumpur combining regenerative medicine with luxury hospitality. The upcoming facility will be supported by robotic-assisted care systems and AI-driven diagnostics and therapeutics, offering a holistic environment for wellness, recovery, and healthy ageing.

In addition, Black Group announced the launch of its new innovation arm, Immortality by Black Group, which will lead the company’s efforts in advancing the longevity movement. The entity will focus on cutting-edge cell therapy methodologies and biomedical technologies aimed at extending health span and enhancing quality of life.
