Themed “Step Up, Spark Change”, the event reinforced Generali Malaysia’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and empowering underserved communities through purposeful giving.
Runners participated in the 6km, 12km, and 21.1km categories, ranging from first-time runners to seasoned athletes. The event also celebrated the outstanding achievements of participants in the 12km and 21.1km competitive categories, recognising top performers for their dedication, perseverance, and athletic excellence.
In a powerful display of social solidarity, Generali Malaysia Run 2025 contributed 15% of registration fees and
proceeds from the sales of add-on merchandise to support two non-government organisations (NGO) partners under The Human Safety Net (THSN) this year – Suriana Welfare Society Malaysia and Yayasan Generasi Gemilang. The initiative raised RM100,000 to support early childhood education programmes and provide learning tools for children and families in underserved communities.
"The incredible turnout and energy at this year’s Generali Malaysia Run reflect the power of collective effort. Congratulations to all winners and to every runner who persevered to the finish line—such passion is truly inspiring. My heartfelt thanks go to our agents, partners, customers, and colleagues whose support made this event a resounding success. This spirit of collaboration reflects our Lifetime Partner commitment to promoting healthier lifestyle and driving positive change to the communities we serve." said Fabrice Benard, Chief Executive Officer of Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Country Head of Generali Entities in Malaysia.
The race village buzzed with energy, featuring health screenings, sponsor booths, and family-friendly games. These activities created a festive atmosphere where participants and spectators alike could celebrate health, unity, and social impact.
To ensure broader participation and inclusivity, Generali Malaysia also introduced a virtual run format for those unable to attend the physical event, allowing participants to be part of the movement and run anywhere, anytime. Virtual runners can choose to complete 6km, 12km, or 21.1km, either in a single session or over multiple runs, from 11 May 2025 to 11 June 2025. Upon completing their registered distance and submitting their run results, the run entitlement will be delivered to the virtual runners’ registered address.
