“Empowering Professionals, Advancing the Nation.”The event was graced by YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Deputy Minister of Works, as the Guest of Honour, alongside Prof. ChM. Dr. Juan Joon Ching, President of BIM, and leaders of BIM’s 23 professional member institutions.
In his keynote address, YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan praised Malaysia’s professional community as “the minds and hearts that shape our economy, heal our people, design our cities, secure our systems, and safeguard our values.”
“Malaysia’s future depends not only on policy but on the professionals who bring those policies to life. Tonight, we celebrate the brilliance, dedication, and unity of minds that drive our nation forward. BIM represents the spirit of collaboration that we must champion in all sectors — because progress is a shared journey,” he added.
Prof. ChM. Dr. Juan Joon Ching, in his welcoming remarks, underscored BIM’s commitment to professional excellence and unity.
“This dinner is not merely a celebration — it is a reaffirmation of our shared purpose. Across disciplines, we are united in our drive to empower professionals and support Malaysia’s growth through integrity, innovation, and collaboration,” he said.
Reflecting on his term as BIM President, Prof. Juan added:
“Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the resilience, innovation, and unity of our professional community. Serving as President of BIM has been a humbling journey — one that affirmed my belief that when diverse professions come together under a shared vision, the possibilities for nation-building are endless. We must continue to harness this collective strength to accelerate Malaysia’s progress as a high-income country.”
Honouring Excellence in the Professional Landscape
Two prestigious awards were presented to recognize exceptional contributions:
1. BIM Professional Excellence Award
This award honours outstanding individual members from BIM Member Institutions across four professional clusters:

● Pure and Applied Science
● Accounting, Business, Commercial and Legal
