Media representatives explored six IHH Healthcare Malaysia Hospitals across the Klang Valley, experiencing first-hand the innovation and patient-first care that defines each facility

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- IHH Healthcare Malaysia successfully hosted its inaugural “Media Health Hunt Challenge” welcoming over 31 media professionals from 20 leading publications for a full-day, interactive journey across six of its hospitals in the Klang Valley — Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Pantai Hospital Ampang, Pantai Hospital Cheras, Pantai Hospital Klang, Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Prince Court Medical Centre.

Through this immersive experience, media representatives gained first-hand insight into how IHH Healthcare Malaysia delivers personalised, high-quality care, driven by clinical excellence, multidisciplinary expertise, and a deep commitment to patient wellbeing. At every hospital, they witnessed how this level of care is made possible through skilled specialists, cutting-edge technologies, and a consistent focus on delivering timely, accurate, and personalised treatment.

“We wanted our media partners to not only explore the selected services at each hospital, but to truly experience what sets IHH Healthcare Malaysia apart. From our tertiary hospitals to community-focused ones, we operate as a connected network that enables seamless, end-to-end care across our facilities. Through our structured internal-referral system, patients are guided to the right specialist, ensuring timely, effective and coordinated treatment. That’s what makes IHH unique, a trusted healthcare ecosystem that is firmly centred on patients, supporting them with multidisciplinary expertise and a commitment to quality care, said Ms Erica Lam, Regional CEO of IHH Healthcare Malaysia.

Moving beyond the typical hospital tour, the Health Hunt was designed as an engaging, hands-on experience. Participants solved location-based clues, explored core specialities and services at each hospital, and interacted with clinical teams — gaining a closer look at the distinctive capabilities that define each facility.

At every stop, participants had the opportunity to explore a curated selection of services offered by the respective hospital.

· Prince Court Medical Centre (flag-off) – Showcased its advanced medical services including the Accident & Emergency department, which features Malaysia's first electric motorcycle ambulance. Participants explored the advanced orthopaedic services at the new Orthopaedic Clinic and experienced the state-of-the-art hydrotherapy pool for enhanced rehabilitation. They also visited the brand-new Smart Paediatrics Ward, powered by voice-command technology and designed for optimal comfort for young patients and their families, as well as the Premier Lounge offering seamless hospitality for international patients.
· Gleneagles Hospital Kuala Lumpur – Highlighted its strength in specialised care, including expert-led oncology and cardiology services. Participants also experienced the hospital’s advanced robotic-assisted technologies, such as Mako SmartRobotics™ for precision joint surgery and the EksoNR robotic exoskeleton — a state-of-the-art wearable device that supports stroke survivors and individuals with neurological conditions on their recovery journey.
· Pantai Hospital Klang – Shared insights into its Cardiac Catheterisation Lab and interventional cardiology services, where time-sensitive procedures play a crucial role in managing cardiac emergencies.
· Pantai Hospital Cheras – Showcased its Accident & Emergency services, highlighting the round‑the‑clock care and well‑structured processes in place to swiftly assess, prioritise, and manage patients of all ages during emergencies.
· Pantai Hospital Ampang – Focused on its 24/7 Cardiac Emergency Services and Cath Lab capabilities, enabling timely diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular emergencies.
· Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur – Featured the Cancer Centre, which houses the Gamma Knife radiosurgery - a non-invasive treatment for brain conditions as well as the Hand & Upper Limb Centre, home to six specialists dedicated to treating complex conditions of the fingers, hands, shoulders, and arms. It concluded with a stop at the Breast Care Centre, renowned for its comprehensive one-stop services championing education, prevention, and treatment of all breast-related diseases.

While the day’s activities emphasised selected key specialities such as cancer care, heart care, orthopaedics, and emergency services — IHH Healthcare Malaysia offers an even broader range of specialised services across its network. These include obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and more — reflecting the group’s multidisciplinary strength and its commitment to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care.
