FINANCIAL PLANNING FOR PROFESSIONALS: MFPC ROADSHOW COMES TO IPOH

Friday 12/09/2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 12 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) is pleased to announce that Financial Planning for Professionals (FP4PRO) has been scheduled for 20th September 2025 at Tui Blue The Haven Ipoh.

This is the third FP4PRO for 2025, and comes in the wake of two eventful sessions held earlier in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, both of which welcomed about 200 participants each. This nationwide initiative is supported by the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF) and organised by MFPC in collaboration with The Smart Investor (TSI) and Human Resource Development Berhad (HRD Corp) as event partners, with Tui Blue The Haven Ipoh serving as the venue partner. The event is further strengthened by the support of corporate sponsors — Private Pension Administrator (PPA) Malaysia, Saturna Sdn Bhd, Webull Securities (M) Sdn Bhd, and CGS International Securities Malaysia Sdn Bhd — all of whom will also be showcasing their products and services at exhibition booths during the programme.

The Programme highlights financial planning advisory practices in Malaysia as well as investment and retirement strategies, licensed financial planners with the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) will be the ones covering the talks, as well as a session on Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) by representatives from PPA Malaysia.

The swiftly changing economic landscape of today is challenging, and professionals in various fields are increasingly encountering financial obstacles. Many may lack financial literacy, or may not be fully aware of how to optimise personal resources for financial well-being. Strategic personal financial management, from investment options to retirement planning, is crucial.

FP4PRO is a significant step in the MFPC’s commitment to address gaps in financial planning knowledge among professionals, and is in line with the Government’s intent to ensure that more professionals are aware of the need for planning ahead. The event in Ipoh is particularly significant in light of the launch of Malaysia National Strategy 2.0, and the declaration of October 2025 as the National Financial Literacy month.
