KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) proudly presents the
Spice Market Networking Dinner @ Global Travel Meet 2025, organized by Tourism Malaysia, taking place at the
Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) on 2 October 2025. This exclusive dinner will welcome international buyers and representatives from across the globe, offering an experience that celebrates
Malaysia’s heritage while building meaningful global connections. With the theme
“Malaysia – Where the World Meets”, the event highlights Malaysia’s unique role as a cultural crossroads and a premier destination for Business Events. Just as the country has long been a meeting point for diverse peoples and traditions, the dinner embodies Malaysia’s ambition to bring the global community together under one roof.
A Journey Through HeritageGuests will be transported back 600 years to the Malacca Sultanate, where the vibrancy of a traditional spice market comes to life. Arab, Chinese, and Indian traders weaving through the marketplace will capture the sights, sounds, and spirit of Malaysia’s history as a hub of trade, culture, and innovation.
“This event is more than just a dinner. It is an invitation to experience Malaysia’s story. By bringing together our history, culture, and hospitality, we are creating moments that linger in the heart while opening doors to global connections,” said YB Sivakumar A/L Varatharaju Naidu, Chairman of MyCEB.Driving Global ImpactThe Spice Market Networking Dinner reflects MyCEB’s mission to create long-term value for the global Business Events industry by:

Malaysia on the Global StageMore than a cultural showcase, the Spice Market Networking Dinner represents Malaysia’s vision as a nation “Where the World Meets”, a destination that unites people, ideas, and opportunities, and positions the country as a leading hub for International Business Events.
ABOUT MyCEB MyCEB was established in 2009 by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia to strengthen Malaysia’s business tourism brand and position in the international business events market. A Company Limited by Guarantee (CLBG), MyCEB serves as a central hub to assist meeting and event planners to bid and stage international business events in Malaysia and acts as a conduit for national product development. MyCEB aims to improve its rankings as an international meetings destination within the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and to grow business tourism arrivals to Malaysia.
In April 2021, MyCEB launched the ‘Malaysia Business Events Strategic Marketing Plan 2021 - 2030’, which mapped out Malaysia's future in business events. The plan emphasizes three strategic axes to expand performance: optimization, foresight, and competitiveness. These strategic anchors are applied in implementing, planning, and monitoring all initiatives collaboratively with the industry.
