SINGAPORE, 14 Oct (Bernama) -- Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) and JML (JEL Maintenance Pte Ltd), a Singapore-based engineering and maintenance services company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on automation technologies for energy and industrial projects that support Singapore’s energy transition, and it’s drive for greater industrial innovation.
 
The collaboration aims to improve plant performance, lower operating costs and strengthen infrastructure resilience. By combining JML’s regional project experience with Honeywell’s automation expertise, the companies will work together to deliver solutions better aligned with future energy needs.
 
Emphasizing the role of digital transformation in building smarter and more resilient infrastructure, Ravikrishnan Srinivasan, Regional General Manager, Honeywell Industrial Automation, Asia Pacific said: “This effort underscores Honeywell’s commitment to supporting customers in Singapore and across Asia Pacific in their digitalization journey. Together we will explore opportunities that can help customers reduce risk, accelerate project timelines, and build more sustainable operations.”
 
The collaboration includes plans for cooperation from the early stages of project design, focusing on Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICCS), and Integrated Security Management Systems (ISMS) to improve procedure alignment and support transparent data exchange. It will also leverage Honeywell’s HPS Synergy and LEAP™ technologies, which are intended to help reduce engineering complexity, shorten project schedules and drive cost-saving efforts.
 
Upskilling is another key focus of this initiative. Honeywell intends to introduce advanced training programs for JML engineers to enhance expertise in automation engineering, testing, and commissioning. By building these capabilities, the initiative will help JML teams support customers more effectively and take on increasingly complex energy and industrial projects.
