PETALING JAYA, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC) has clinched the Bronze Award in the Social – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) category at the Asia ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025, marking another milestone in its journey of driving equitable access and inclusion within Malaysia’s public procurement landscape.
This recognition comes just months after CDC’s Gold Award victory in the same category at Malaysia’s ESG Positive Impact Awards 2024, reaffirming the organisation’s sustained leadership in advancing social impact through its flagship initiative, ‘Hari Bertemu Pembekal’.
The Asia ESG Positive Impact Awards is a collaborative initiative between Star Media Group (Malaysia), KG Media (Indonesia), and the Inquirer Group of Companies (Philippines), uniting regional efforts to celebrate organisations that are transforming ESG principles into measurable, real-world change.
Having first secured the national Gold Award in Malaysia, CDC advanced to represent the country at the Asia-level stage, competing alongside regional winners from the Philippines and Indonesia. The company’s outstanding performance has now earned it the recognition at the regional level, underscoring its continued leadership in driving social and economic inclusion across the region.
CDC’s award-winning initiative, Hari Bertemu Pembekal, continues to empower entrepreneurs from rural, remote, and marginalised communities to participate directly in government tenders through the ePerolehan platform. By bringing procurement access to local communities, the programme bridges economic gaps and strengthens participation within the national supply chain.
“This regional recognition underscores our belief that inclusivity is the foundation of sustainable growth,” said Datuk Muzafar Kamal Shahaluddin, Chief Executive Officer of CDC. “We are deeply honoured to represent Malaysia on this stage, and this win belongs to every small business owner who continues to believe in their ability to grow through opportunity.”
With this regional win, CDC continues to elevate Malaysia’s leadership in ESG-driven innovation, proving that technology, collaboration, and purpose can together redefine public procurement as a driver of shared prosperity across Asia.
