HONG KONG, March 18 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) has commenced its 2026 international engagements by participating in Connect Marketplace Hong Kong 2026, held from 18-19 March 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, China.

This marks MyCEB’s first participation in the event, aligned with its 2026 strategic focus to strengthen Malaysia’s presence in the China and Asia-Pacific markets and position Malaysia as a preferred destination for Business Events.

Participation in the marketplace provides Malaysia with a strategic platform to engage directly with key decision-makers across the Asia-Pacific region, while showcasing the country’s convention and exhibition infrastructure, destination offerings, and industry capabilities.

In line with MyCEB’s 2026 roadmap, engagement at Connect Marketplace Hong Kong is expected to deliver value to Malaysia’s Business Events industry through:

  • Strengthening business networks and partnerships with APAC buyers and industry stakeholders.
  • Generating qualified leads through targeted one-on-one business meetings.
  • Exploring new collaboration opportunities within the Asia-Pacific market.
  • Enhancing Malaysia’s competitiveness through exposure to current industry trends and best practices.

“Our participation in Connect Marketplace Hong Kong reflects our commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s presence in China and the Asia-Pacific markets. This platform allows us to engage directly with buyers and reinforce Malaysia’s readiness to host high-quality Business Events,” said Ms Tan Mei Phing, Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB.

The event also provides Malaysian industry partners with direct access to corporate planners and associations seeking destinations for meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions. These engagements are expected to contribute to future business opportunities for Malaysia.
