KUALA LUMPUR, June 11 (Bernama) -- Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) reinforced its commitment to fostering a savings culture among Malaysians by rewarding BSN Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) savers through the BSN SSP with BSN GIRO-i 2025 Bundle Campaign. The campaign’s three grand prize winners each received a Supermarket Sweep reward worth up to RM5,000.

The campaign, which ran from 1 August to 31 December 2025 was introduced to encourage STR recipients to cultivate the habit of saving by channelling part of the assistance received into BSN SSP. With a minimum saving of RM50 per month for at least three months during the campaign period, the initiative aimed to help customers build more structured savings habits as a step towards greater long-term financial resilience.

As the highlight of the campaign, the three grand prize winners, comprising two customers from Perak and one from Kuala Lumpur, were celebrated at AEON Mall Cheras Selatan through the Supermarket Sweep reward, where each winner was given five minutes to select grocery items of their choice. In addition, 200 BSN STR customers also won various other attractive prizes across four categories under the campaign.

“This campaign reflects BSN’s continued commitment to fostering a savings culture and enhancing financial inclusion, particularly among communities benefitting from government assistance initiatives.

“We hope more STR recipients will be encouraged to make saving part of their daily financial management practices. Even starting with a small amount, consistent savings can help build greater security for the future," said BSN Acting Chief Executive, Encik Mujibburrahman Abd Rashid.

He added as the nation’s development financial institution, BSN will continue to introduce initiatives that not only provide added value to customers but also encourage smarter financial planning towards sustainable financial wellbeing.
