Festival Ambang Merdeka 2026: Malaysia MADANI – Kesejahteraan Dinikmati (“Festival Ambang Merdeka”) a three-day festival from
29 to 31 August 2026 at
Dataran Merdeka. Expected to welcome more than 100,000 visitors, the celebration aims to bring Malaysians from all walks of life together through music, culture and shared experiences while creating more opportunities for local businesses and communities.
The highlight of the celebration is the
Konsert Kita Bagi Jadi @ Ambang Merdeka 2026 segment taking centre stage on
30 August at 10.30pm, with a captivating 90-minute musical leading up to the iconic Merdeka countdown at midnight. Choreographed by renowned creative director Pat Ibrahim with the theme “
Menyusuri Sejarah, Memperkasa Semangat”, the musical features eight celebrated Malaysian artistes including Aina Abdul, Aman RA, Nadia Aqilah, Asmidar, Haziq Rosebi, Mimifly, Izen Kong and Pasya, accompanied by 70 dancers and a 60- member Orkestra Kuala Lumpur. Audiences will also be treated to the debut of three original songs, alongside powerful performances by some of Malaysia's finest musicians, dancers and creative talents.
Blending music, dance, immersive storytelling and orchestral performances, the
Konsert Kita Bagi Jadi @ Ambang Merdeka 2026 offers a heartfelt tribute to Malaysia's journey, celebrating Malaysia's rich history, cultural heritage and diversity while showcasing the depth of the nation's creative talent. The evening will culminate in the much-anticipated Merdeka countdown and a dazzling fireworks display over Dataran Merdeka, bringing thousands of Malaysians together in a shared celebration of national pride, unity and the enduring spirit of Merdeka.
The collaboration exemplifies a commitment to empowering communities by supporting local businesses where
micro, small and medium enterprises (“MSME”) and local entrepreneurs will participate in offering F&B and local products at the three-day event, providing them with greater visibility, access to new customers and opportunities to grow their businesses. As part of this effort, CIMB is also helping local businesses embrace digitalisation. Through the CIMB ecosystem and digital payment solutions, the Bank is making it easier for MSMEs to transact, manage their businesses and serve customers more efficiently.
